The beautifully hand-crafted marquetry tops in this range have been made using rustic american white oak solid timbers and veneers. Each piece of furniture reflects the intensified natural characteristics of rustic oak wood such as knots, mineral streaks, grain cracks and distortions, pinholes, sapwood, colour variation and other effects of nature. In preserving the natural feel, the wood will also exhibit saw marks from the cutting of the lumber. This gives each top its own particular characteristics as no two timbers are alike. Natural variations in colour, grain and structure are inherent characteristics and add to the beauty of the wood, resulting in an individuality that is unmatched by regular furniture.
